a little house-keeping

Well, we're back from a fabulous week up north at the bach. It is always so nice to spend a bit of time away from the hustle and bustle that is Auckland. The girls and I enjoyed lots of swimming, walking along the surf beach, and of course the divine chocolate and coffee at Bennetts!!

School starts back next Tuesday (how did those summer holidays disappear so quickly?!)... so, all going to plan I'll be back up to speed next week. I have a huge 'to do' list, lots of new product ideas whirling around in my head... all I need now is some time do put it all together.

*****

In the mean time, I have listed a few little limited edition Valentines goodies in my felt shop. These are strictly limited to what is in stock, so get in quick.

an island holiday

It is that time of the year... Winter is over, but Summer isn't quite here. Everyone seems to be going on holiday, Fiji, Hawaii... Gold Coast. So we decided a little Island getaway was in order... We normally go to Kawau in the Summer, but we definitely had just as much fun without the sun!

It was a lovely weekend away, lots of bush walking, kayaking, reading, rugby watching (go Ireland!) and enjoying good company.

The girls are already talking about 'next year'...

2010

Another year has passed, and what a year it was. I can honestly say I am looking forward to a much less eventful year in 2010!

I wish you all a happy, safe and peaceful 2010.

Silly Season

Well, it really is silly season, only 1 month to go until Christmas, and I sure am feeling the pressure!

My 'to do' list is out of control, and seems to be taking on a life of it's own. I managed to cross a few things off today though, including this custom order for 10 bookmarks (in the post today), plus FINALLY taking some long overdue product shots, plus shots of my fabric stash to update my flickr page.

Now all I need to do is go through and label and tag them all (yawn) and update my felt and etsy shops with some new products....

This weekend I will be at markets both Saturday and Sunday...

Saturday 28th November
Willow Park Christmas Gift Market
Willow Park Primary School
13 – 17 Compton Street
Hillcrest, North Shore
10am - 2pm

Sunday 29th November
Kraftbomb
Grey Lynn Community Centre, Main Hall
510 Richmond Road
Grey Lynn, Aucklandd
11am - 2pm

On top of all of this, we have just sold our house (much faster than anticipated!) so I am desperately searching for somewhere for the girls and I to live, and pack up our house before next week - eek! ... watch this space!

Revived

We are back from a lovely weekend away. Gorgeous sunny days, lots of bike riding, walking, sand castle building... so nice to get out of the city and enjoy a slower pace for a few days! No photos to post..., I hunted for my camera the whole time I was away, couldn't find it anywhere - as we drove into the driveway at home I found it in the glovebox!

I found some gorgeous vintage bits and bobs whilst away - they are all being washed and dried today, but here is a sneaky peak of some of the vintage aprons, tea clothes and sheets all drying on the line!

Lucy and I found these sweet little flowers this morning. I might use this for my screen printing tonight...

Hope you have a lovely afternoon xx

Easter

Well I am back and rested (?) after an extended Easter weekend in Whangamata. We had a lovely time catching up with friends and playing at the beach... as always ended up eating too much chocolate and drinking too much wine!

Bella and I were up early enough for the sunrise each morning! I even had enough time to make myself a coffee and wander down to the beach with Bella in tow in her pj's!

Lucy was in heaven waking up to find a BIG fat easter egg ALL for her!
